No Smoking Cruise Ships
A policy of no cigarettes no cigars no ashtrays and no second-hand smoke anywhere is at the core of the cruise experience aboard the MS Paradise - and its a policy that is unusual indeed.
No smoking cruise ships. Disney Cruise Line does not permit smoking in any indoor areas. Carnival Paradise is the only non-smoking cruise ship. Cigar and pipe smoking are only permitted in the latter.
Many hotels restaurant and other venues are smoke-free or have non-smoking regulations in public spaces. Per the article you reference Celebrity and Royal Caribbean do not permit smoking in inside areas of the ship and they arent more expensive than competing mass market lines. It is one of the lowest priced ships.
Earlier this week Royal Caribbean became the latest major cruise operator to ban smoking on the balconies of its ships. So no you dont. It has changed pretty quickly in the past 5 years regarding smoking on cruise ships so in another few years we maybe me talking about back in the day when smoking was allowed in casinos.
Cigar smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club and the designated outdoor area and pipe smoking is only allowed in the Connoisseur Club. Smoking is only permitted outdoors on Decks 3 4 and 6 except during meal hours. Most river cruise lines including Viking River Cruises APT and AmaWaterways operate a no smoking policy on board. Smoking includes cigarettes e-cigarettes cigars e-cigars or any other smoking device. No staterooms aboard these ships have private balconies so thats not an option either.
