Two Carnival cruise ships have successfully completed their first sailings back after 16 months on hold.

There are nearly 50000 workers stuck aboard 69 ships without passengers anchored in US. At least a half-dozen ships are still at sea with passengers and crew on board as cruise lines navigate long trips back to port and struggle to find ports willing to let them dock. The cancellation policy has also been extended through May. The following list is showing the scheduled location of all cruise ships.

A few ships are returning to cruise or running test cruises this week but the real headliners are a smattering of policy changes that could impact your booked sailing this year. Though some small-ship cruises are still scheduled starting in late July its not clear when or if any small ships will sail in Alaska this summer. Costa Cruises resumed cruising on September 6th 2020.

Costa Cruises has since suspended operations again but will resume in May 2021. Crystal Cruise has scheduled their reopening cruises for June 2021. The good news for cruising is that as of June 26 2021 the first ship Celebrity Edge returned to sailing from the US.
